The Last Five Years is a contemporary musical that tells the story of the complex five-year relationship between Jamie Wellerstein, a rising novelist, and Cathy Hiatt, a struggling actress. Told from their two perspectives: Jamie's story is told chronologically, from the beginning of their relationship to the end, while Cathy's is told in reverse.

With themes of love, ambition, communication, and the complexities of modern relationships.

The Last Five Years is a two-person, emotionally intimate musical known for its powerful score and innovative structure.

Robb Parker

Robb is excited to direct his first full production for WMTS, having only joined us recently as our singing social musical director. He is thrilled to be working with a talented cast and dedicated crew to bring this production of The Last Five Years to life at Y Lab.
Outside of WMTS Robb has appeared in the Wrexham Districts Pantomime Company’s Sleeping Beauty and currently serves as their MD. He has co-directed/written original comedy production for the Southampton Medics Revue and was their resident MD and band Arranger for four years. He has been in a variety of productions over the years including musicals, operas and plays.
When not in the theatre world Robb is a Resident Doctor working in Care of the Elderly and Palliative Medicine. Sometimes he remembers to eat and sleep.

Siân Griffiths

Since discovering her love of amateur dramatics, Siân has usually been on the stage, rather than on the production team, but as a self-confessed organisation enthusiast, she has been relishing the role of producer for The Last Five Years. It has been a very rewarding experience alongside such a talented cast and brilliant crew. It has been a real privilege for her to see the show develop and come to life over the past few months, and she hopes you enjoy it!

Catrin Street-Mattox

Catrin has previously performed as Sam in ‘The Mad Ones’ with WMTS, Lauren in ‘A Bunch of Amateurs’, Elizabeth in ‘Frankenstein’, and Wednesday in ‘The Addams Family’ with Grove Park Theatre. Catrin also recorded a concept album for a new musical. Outside of theatre Catrin is doing her PhD at the University of Birmingham and teaching at Wrexham University.

Adam Hodges

Adam is delighted to return for his second production with WMTS, having first appeared with the company last year in The Mad Ones, playing Adam. He’s thrilled to be back on stage in The Last Five Years, once again performing alongside Catrin.

Outside of WMTS, Adam has appeared with Grove Park Theatre, Tip Top Productions, and in Les Misérables at the Liverpool Empire, a production staged in partnership with the Birkenhead Operatic Society Trust. His other recent credits include Dick Whittington, Annie Get Your Gun, and Tip Top at the Musicals.

Grateful for every opportunity to perform, Adam is looking forward to another fantastic run with WMTS.
