Ellen Buckley
Ellen has been involved in the performing arts for many years both on and off the stage. Starting as an actor she then turned to teaching and found a passion for directing others having had the chance to direct a wide range of plays and musicals. This is Ellen’s first time directing with Wrexham Musical Theatre Society and she’s honoured to have been trusted with bringing Dead Guilty to the stage. Ellen hopes you enjoy her take on Richard Harris’ thriller and the little touches she’s added of her own personal directing style. It’s been a pleasure working with such a talented cast and Ellen can’t wait for you all to see the wonderful job they have done over the last 6 weeks.
Rea Hughes
Rea is very excited to be taking on the role of Julia in Dead guilty. A challenging role that she has loved getting to grips with. This is Rea’s first show with WMTS and she has throughly enjoyed working alongside the fabulous and very talented cast and crew.
You may have well have seen her treading the boards many times for Darland Community Theatre in Rossett over the past 8 years! Here she’s played some of her favourite roles including Rita in “ Educating Rita”, Ruth in “Blythe Spirit” and of course her mum’s all time favourite Fi-fi the French poodle in “Dog’s Life”.
Rea hopes you enjoy the show as much as everyone involved has enjoyed working on it!
And in true Rea style, she has many costume changes!!!
Ashlea Allen
Ashlea is a graduate of LIPA, with a background in forum theatre, community drama and theatre in education.
She became a member in 2023, attending WMTS' singing social group and has enjoyed singing at several of their shows.
After a decade away from the theatre stage, Ash returned to a sold out performance of the musical 'The Mad Ones', WMTS' first production back after 17 years. She has since performed as Rita in 'Educating Rita' in Grove Park Theatre in October 2024.
Ashlea has loved working alongside such an incredible cast and crew, with plenty of laughs and copious amounts of fruity tea. She hopes to continue to perform in more productions in Wrexham over the next few years.

Dave Haden
This is Dave's first production with WMTS. He has appeared in various shows with Grove Park Theatre, including Calamity Jane, Darling Buds Of May and more recently, Some Mothers Do Ave Em. Originally from Birmingham, he also appeared in shows there with various companies before moving to Wrexham. He is married to Elaine and has a son named Oscar. He has really enjoyed working with the cast and crew on Dead Guilty, and looks forward to working with then all again in the future.
Angelo Edwards
Angelo has been involved in amateur dramatics since 2022, making his return to the stage after a 10-year break with The Ghost Train at Chester Little Theatre. Angelo's proudest moments are playing Charles Condomine in Blithe Spirit, playing Clown 1 in 39 Steps and directing Educating Rita, which was nominated for three awards. He is also a semi-professional actor, performing in murder mysteries across the region.
Angelo was keen to audition for Dead Guilty for the chance of working with director Ellen Buckley, who he met through The Ghost Train. Angelo isn't on stage much as Anthony Bennett, so he has enjoyed watching the outstanding performances of his fellow cast members during rehearsals. When he's not eating and hugging the nearest radiator, that is...
